Print copies of A year on the back of an envelope have now been around since mid-August. I’m really excited to have sold some copies online via the website and in person to friends. There are also 16 copies available in shops so far — six in Crickhowell Resource & Information Centre and ten in Mockingbird Gifts, Abergavenny! The book is local interest and it is so lovely to have that confidence from independent retailers in the area.

I realised yesterday that the book is also available to order on Waterstones! I do not have an arrangement with them so I believe the order would come through to me. I have clicked through but haven’t ordered on there to see what would happen as it seems a little bit of a waste… https://www.waterstones.com/book/a-year-on-the-back-of-an-envelope/caitlin-saunders/9781739927103
Signed copies still remain available directly from me at a slightly lower price than retail.
I have had a lot going on separate from my writing life recently and so things have been slower than I might have hoped in getting my work out there. However, I’m excited to be settled in London after a trip home and starting a new job, and I’m going to be attending more workshops and events now! Talking about writing and creative practices is a new area for me and something I am still getting used to; impostor syndrome is definitely an issue. I have started to get more practice at this as I have met more people who express themselves creatively in some form or another.
I have written a few poems while in London, and actually while back in Powys/Monmouthshire this summer I also wrote one about the freedom and joy I felt at Green Man Festival 2021. I will share that in my next blog. No new collection is in my thoughts yet. Instead, I’m enjoying this phase of finding my new way of writing about the city and people, as opposed to the mountains and myself.
Watch this space 🙂 x
