A year on the back of an envelope
My second poetry collection records a year unplanned, when I took a step back from the chaos and storms captured in my first book and passed my time quietly tucked away in a corner of Monmouthshire I had known since childhood.
These 19 poems are presented as a tale of three parts: meditations on the grief of passing days in lockdown, memoirs of brief human connections made beyond the fog of isolation, and the simple freedom of the Welsh countryside in springtime.
All poems are written by me. All artwork is by the wonderfully talented Jenny Lomax (@iamjennylomax).
